Shaimaa Hamid (, 30 years old), is different from other peacemakers in Yemen as she is one of the few women who has sought peace calls in Marib in confident steps amid many thorns, the characteristics of society in Mareb may be an obstacle to this kind of project, and the war that surrounds her city in all its aspects is also an obstacle (as if looking for a needle in a haystack) but she created her needle and removed thorns from her way with her hands and the dream of her life that grew up and grew up with her a long time ago
Shaimaa Hamid made what she aspires to, and around her mobilized young people and youth initiatives to engage them in achieving what every Yemeni dreams of, even in slow steps to build peace in stages “begins first”, where she qualified and trained six youth initiatives on the importance of community peace and what his role in achieving psychological and social stability in society and then set off with them to implement the peace ambassadors project and invaded them with flaws at the bottom of his house
She posted an ad on the platform of her project (Peace Ambassadors) on social media to invite youth initiatives to participate in the implementation of the project, where she presented about 40 youth initiatives in Marib, everyone was excited to work on the project but due to the limited areas and limited number required, six youth initiatives were selected to participate in the construction of community peace with the support of the Marib Dam Foundation
“We brought loudspeakers and posters filled with words of peace to the valley, Hareb and Medina directorates to raise direct awareness to promote the concepts of community peace and to advocate for the rejection of racism, violence and a ceasefire. “Contrary to what we were thinking, the community longs for peace in all its aspects,” he said, targeting the community across the spectrum, including the marginalized, displaced men and women, and the host community

Shaimaa was cautious about her plans to spread community peace and did not face the promoters of war, but faced the war itself, but indirectly as part of the peace ambassadors project, and implemented the idea of competing sports teams in the Directorate of Harib, Wadi and Medina under the name (League of Peace) then young people lived days outside the circle of war they have been living for years and breathed a new breeze on a life full of hatred and constant conflict

Shaimaa has counted many women pioneers of humanitarian, political and diplomatic work in Yemen, old and new, noting that there are many examples that point to the success of Yemeni women now in a war in the country, and have emerged with great success in various provinces, including: Marib, Taiz, Sana’a, Aden, Hadramaut, and others
The project was successfully implemented in both field and electronic parts. Shaimaa says the implementation of the project was considered a major challenge as it was carried out in the midst of a severe war in the country in general and Mareb, especially while society was afraid of any word that might penetrate the project of war, victory and defeat
The aim of the project is to promote the concepts of peace-building as a general goal and a first step for future projects to achieve peace in Marib, and the project achieved its goal in correcting the wrong idea of peace among society, especially those who sacrificed war and those who lost loved ones, so that they consider that the calls for peace are a call to exclude them and oppress them, and this is not true while peace is to stop the war and erasing class and open roads between the provinces to settle and return the normal status of the country and the citizen

At a time when community organizations in Marib were drawn into relief activities, Shaimaa jumped out of the current to create the current of the peace industry, and before it was recently contained by the Marib Dam Foundation, which means protection and the peace industry in Marib to become today the project manager of the Foundation, where before that it had carried out many peace-building projects individually and collectively and with independent self-efforts and youth It was also carried out on International Women’s Day on a poetic morning in which the voices of poetry and literature were heard by young Maribi and displaced poets, followed by the youth campaign (Hayat Grant) to donate blood to patients with kidney failure in the province, while currently preparing for the project to promote security and peace in Marib city in partnership with the local community.
After Shaimaa insisted on implementing what she had planned and made it impossible for a reality that must be humiliated in the face of her ambitions to achieve peace in a country and town that has lived through war for a long time and whose walls have never heard of peace , But Shaimaa brush’s and her colleagues in the youth team (Team Banyan) after it was dispersed in Marib after the displacement from Sana’a, they painted doves of peace and roses on its pale walls, and although these drawings remained on the walls except for a few hours until they were removed by unknown persons, it was a step that represented a major victory for her first step contrary to the current of war that everyone is dragging towards him
The incident was not very frustrating for her, but increased interest in the idea of painting as an artistic expression of peace, in order to provide an artistic outlet for girls, where Shaimaa participated in exhibitions of painting in Marib during the past three years, in which the girl contributed a lot of creative drawing expressing peace, freedom and women’s rights
Shaimaa carried within the quiver of her displacement from Sana’a to Marib are a country and next to it its permanent project calling for peace, there is a question why does the war not stop and say enough pain and welcome peace
With her activity and love for peace projects, Shaimaa (who graduated from the Faculty of Education, Department of Arabic language at Sana’a University) was able to lead many peace projects alone in the arena that is devoid of these projects, and Shaimaa’s experience and passion are a key motivation for leading the peace projects as she started her community activity 7 years ago and succeeded in being a peace ambassador and a successful mother at the same time
